Monthly Prayer Request for Priests-Milwaukee

What is the Monthly Prayer Request for Priests (MPRP)?

The Monthly Prayer Request for Priests (MPRP) is an international lay apostolate founded in 1990 to encourage people to pray and sacrifice for the good of our priests. There are currently over 70 dioceses in the United States and overseas that participate in this apostolate. The MPRP has been endorsed by many Cardinals and Bishops as a simple, yet powerful way, to spiritually and emotionally support our priests in their ministry. The MPRP has been established in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee since September 2010.

The Milwaukee calendar has been arranged in alphabetical order using the current Milwaukee Archdiocesan Directory. Specific days have been included for the Pope, the Archbishop and the active religious orders in the Archdiocese. Please keep each priest in your prayers on the suggested date. In this way, every diocesan priest in the Archdiocese will be held in prayer by many people. There are multiple possibilities for prayer such as offering daily Mass, lighting a candle, fasting and penance, daily offerings of joys and sorrows, praying the rosary or divine mercy chaplet, or just a simple Lord's Prayer; any or all of these could be offered for the priest of the day.

Are you interested in helping to support and promote this apostolate? You may print and copy the calendars for parish bulletins, prayer groups, adoration chapels, nursing homes, the home bound, convents and seminaries, or for any others who may be interested in praying for the priests of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee but don’t have internet access.
